Hi, I’m Jeff Buchanan, a UX designer with an extensive background as a non-profit executive, project manager, and data analyst. I currently work at Duke Energy as the manager of the Internal UX Team. My life experience has equipped me to become an effective communicator, innovative problem-solver, and empathetic leader. In my previous work, I’ve been most recognized for my passion to develop systems and processes, and for my willingness to embrace, create, and implement new ideas and concepts. I’m a motivated self-starter that appreciates working with a cohesive team that values its members and desires to create a culture of excellence.

Some of the things I enjoy are music and the arts, reading (historical/cultural fiction, biographies, and culture/sociology are my favorites), CrossFit, and finding a great coffee shop to spend an afternoon.

My education experience includes a Master of Science in User Experience Design from Kent State University, a Master of Music from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Theological Studies from Liberty University. My wife, Angela, and I make our home in Cornelius, NC.
